Floral Cat Skull Statement Chest Piece Necklace

This oversized one-of-a-kind chest piece is sure to make a lasting impression. You have the flexibility to layer it over a shirt or frame your bare collar bones. 
 
I made this piece completely by hand. It started as an original drawing that I impressed directly onto wet vegetable-tanned leather by carefully tracing it. I then tooled the leather to add a variety of textures and depths. After the leather dried, I carefully cut around each flower with a super sharp knife. I then painted and antique it so that the tooled texture would pop. I finished it off with a sealant that ensures it will be shiny and durable for many years to come. I completed this piece with a beautifully patinaed oxidized silver-tone chain that is adjustable to suit your style.
